There are many artists playing acoustically on the roots music live scene in Britain today. And whilst electric derivations such as Blues Rock are loudly championed the acoustic roots music scene and in particular those playing a finger picking style, are not shouted about so much. Oli Mississippi MacDonald and APM Records were keen to capture a sample of this burgeoning and authentic scene that has brought the music on home.

Nine leading UK folk and blues musicians took part in recording sessions to lay down select songs from their repertoire with a blend of Folk, Blues, Americana, Jazz. This is the resulting album.
